Restoring iPhone. Where are previous settings?

I hope someone can solve this for me...

Just took my troublesome iPhone into the Genius Bar where they did a full restore. Told me to go home and use the back up I made last night to restore all of my stuff. But, when I plug into iTunes it's not giving me any option to synch from previous. Most things I can drag but I need to have my text messages back as there are some ones regarding the birth of my daughter etc that I really don't want to lose. Like I say, I did back it up last night so it should all be there but how do I access it?

Edit: I think I found it. I'll be back to grovel for help if it doesn't work...
