So I decided to restore my jailbroken iphone to 4.0.1 ( I have SHSH blobs saved ) because it was getting slow. I was planning to jailbreak it again.

Everything went fine, but when it should be activated trough itunes, I get the message: "The sim-card in this iphone is locked with a PIN. You have to install the newest version of itunes en reconnect your iphone."

The iphone isnt locked to any carrier.

Is it safe to download itunes 10 in order to jailbreak again or is there anything else I can do?

Thank you in advance.

Why did you lock your SIM card? If you don't know the pin, you might have to replace it.
AFAIK, itunes 10 won't kill your jailbreak.

If you have an unlocked phone by Apple, why bother with the jailbreak?
