iPod Restoring iPod

Trying to restore iPod but getting an unknown error 1418 could not be restored, please help!

ive come accross this, i tried restoring my ipod on my mac and got that error, but then i tried restoring it on a windows computer and it worked, so if your on a mac trying to restore and have a windows machine nearby that could be the solution for you...
