Restoring jailbroken Factoryunlocked iphone

Hi,
I bought a locked iphone 4 4.1 which i jailbroked through Limera1n hoping the software unlock will come out soon (which never did). Fortunately I was able to get my iPhone factory unlocked.
I have the following question
1. If i restore my device to factory settings will it cause any problems as its jailbroken
2. If the restore works fine, will I be able to take backup from my jailbroken iphone backup?

Use some common sense. Restore erases the jb.
Factory unlock is permanent.

the reason I asked this question was that I have read several blogs where iPhone users have reported that a jailbroken factory unlocked iphone causes problem at times while being restored to factory settings.
Any comments
