I was given a jailbroken iPhone 3G as a gift and proceeded to restoring it. The device proceeded to restart endlessly with the cycling circle on top of the apple logo at boot up. I was wondering if anyone knew the specific and correct course of action to take. Please and thank you for your time and help, everyone.

it was probably changed to ipad BB, what you need to do is create a custom iphone 3g 4.2.1 firmware (google it) and restore to that.
