Restoring Mac OSX Snow Leopard

Hello. Today I'm going to sell my Macbook Pro, and I want to restore it, you know, make it look like a new. So how do I do that? Cause I'm not too sure.
Just something about putting in the OSX cd, but as I said, I'm not sure.

I would run Disk Utility from the install CD and erase the disk
Then I would do a fresh install of the OS

And I would leave the original install discs with the computer

Boot from the grey restore DVD that came with the computer

Use Disk Utility on that DVD to re-format the disk

Use the DVD to re-install the OS.
