I've had a US iPhone for a few weeks now, which I'm selling in anticipation of getting a UK one when they're released (for warranty, lack of hassle with updates, etc. Not to mention the price decrease).

Obviously, I'll be able to sync all of my content back across to my new UK iPhone, but what about my other settings - ie. the settings that come back when you "restore to a previous backup" - this takes only about a minute and simply restores all your personal settings. Will I be able to restore my new iPhone to my current backup, so I move all my settings across? Or, with there likely being a brand new iPhone update since, will restoring to a previous backup possibly mess things up?
