Restoring old SMS messages

Im wondering if I missed a step here. I wanted to keep my old texts after I upgraded to 4.1 last night. I copied over SMS.db from Var/Mobile/Library/SMS. Although I can view all of my old messages, whenever I try to send one it crashes to safemode. And if someone sends me one, I don't recieve it at all.

Replacing the sms.db from before with the current sms.db that came along with the 4.1 upgrade solves the problem. Any ideas?

change permissions to 0755 i think.. i know it deals with changing of permissions but i cant recall the numbers off hand.
