Restoring purchased apps (that weren't backed up)?

I bought the MotionX-Poker game and shortly afterward i restored my brand new 3G iphone since i was getting some weird syncing bugs (plus I wanted the 5A347 firmware). I guess it hadn't actually synced that app to iTunes yet, and for some reason iTunes decided to remove it from the iPhone when i synced, rather than syncing it to iTunes instead, and now I'm stuck without the app. I don't want to buy it again, how can I get it back? Both the App Store in iTunes as well as on the phone just have buttons to purchase it.

FIXED. For those who don't know, the UI will make it look like you have to buy it again (both on iTunes and on the iPhone), but once you enter your password and start downloading it will recognize that you've already purchased the item and offer to let you download it again for free.
