I am able to access and edit the sms.db on from my iphone 5c backup, but i dont know what i need to do to undelete the messages i accidentally deleted. any help will be greatly appreciated! :) thanks!

i assume the backup reflects whats on the phone or does that have the old messages that phone deleted or?

im not sure you can edit the sms.db, add to it and have it working on the phone but if you are going to try you would have to duplicate your iphone backup (just in case) and try and restore from the edited one.
 
opening the file in text editor i am able to see all the messages even the deleted ones amidst a bunch of letters and numbers i dont understand. But when opening the file using a sqlite program, it is not under the messages table, or any other table. Just wondering where do the messages go. And how to restore them. Thanks

how big is the file?

what text editor do you use?

have you tried exporting them from the sqlite program?

btw what was your answer to my first question in my last post?
