I own a first generation iPhone which came with 1.1.4. When I got the phone it was already activated, unlocked and jailbroken.

Today I decided to attempt an upgrade to version 2.0 as per the instructions here http://www.modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/Pwnage_2.0_Guide

This was a total failure and the iPhone seemed to have got stuck in recovery mode. All I got was the iTunes to USB picture on the iPhone.

I somehow manage to reinstall 1.1.4 by downgrading from iTunes 7.7 to 7.5. All good. I used ZiPhone to activate, unlock and jailbreak it. It worked fine, only that the phone is not unlocked. I know that the phone is jailbroken because I used ZiPhone to jailbreak and the intaller.app appeared. Until a few minuted ago, iTunes could detect the iPhone, but now it's not.

I suspect that my baseband got damaged. I did try and use other apps to unlock it. Independence did not detect the phone, and I also downloaded Pwnage 1.1. I am too scared to use it lest it further damages the phone.

Right now, the Iphone is working ok. I had managed to sync all my iCal entries and contacts, but now it is not detected by the iTunes. I also cannot use the Iphone to make calls since it does not seem to be unlocked, even though ZiPhone said that it is unlocked.

Any ideas? I am really desperate. I've been trying to fix it for the past 7 hours.
