restoring to 1.14

as title states im restoring to 1.41 from the most recent update, i need 1.41 to use Ziphone right?
as i restore it shows error message 20.
i am running itunes version 8 with 1g or 2g iphone im not sure. updated USB drivers.
im running xp, ive tried it on a vista and same problem:(
if i run ziphone now on newest software update it says entering recovery mode for ages, thats co i don't have 1.14 right?
how can i stop the error message 20 ! thanks!
