Restoring to new iPhone5 problem

I have over 12GB of apps and pics backed up from iPhone 4 to iTunes on PC. In trying to restore to new iPhone 5 the time kept increasing to 50 min. When I went back to PC an hour later the PC screen was black with cursor flickering. The phone said restoring in progress. It is now 6 hours later. Should I wait or can I unplug and start over without screwing things up?

Hey, Have you managed to resolve your problem? I'm having the same issue... & cant seem to fix it... Any ideas?
