Restoring to re-jailbreak w/ spirit

I currently have an iphone 3gs 3.1.2 (new bootrom) with a tethered jailbreak (using blackra1n). I want to have an untethered jailbreak so i need to use spirit. So it says i have to restore first, which is where the concern comes in: Do i restore to 3.1.2 or to 3.1.3? Also, I don't understand what shsh blobs are. Yesterday i used AutoSHSH to save my shsh blobs because someone told me i should just incase i need them later.

I wanted to make sure I do everything right because i can't live with a stock iphone until june.

So what are the steps I need to take to rejailbreak using spirit?

simple

1st if you haven't use umbrella to get your ecid or if it's stored with Cydia your ok. if your not sure about what im talking about use google!

save your latest info via itunes contacts etc when you restore do it as new you will only be able to restore too 3.1.3 no choice with the 3GS latter you can downgrade too 3.1.2 if you like via shsh! Spirit easily handles 3.1.3 it just doesn't like blackra1n.
