Hi,

I think i am going to perform a clean install of Snow Leopard as my iMac is a couple of years old and has started to become sluggish.

I have a question reegarding restoring your Mac from a Time Machine backup.

When i do a clean install and choose to restore my Mac from a Time Machine backup, will it only restore all of my documents from the last Time Machine backup before the clean install. Having all my document folders exactly the same, as if i never performed a clean install.

I have about 2 years of Time Machine backups on an external Hard Drive. What i don't want to happen is for Time Machine to restore files that were deleted from the iMac hard drive before my last backup, movies, tv shows documents etc from when i first got my iMac.

I also exclude system files and applications from Time Machine Backups. Will this make a difference to a clean install, appart from the fact i will have to reinstall all my applications?

Thanks.

Thanks.
