Hi all

I know this has been asked before but i haven't seen any real answers so far.

I have JB'd my 3GS and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.
All went perfectly well until I tried my simcard.

I am told the following:
"Restricted Network"
"Your selected cellular network is restricted. You can choose an different network in Settings"
I then have the option on "Settings" or "Dismiss"

This is the same with my '3', 'O2' and 'Vodafone' simcards!

Does anyone know why this is and does anyone know how I can get it sorted?

Incidentally im on 4.2.1 CFW with Ultrasn0w 1.2 and iPad BB 06.15.00

Thanks in advance..........

Hi Neko_girl,

Yeah, does the same thing.

Bought the phone from ebay. Maybe its been blocked after an insurance claim?
Any way of finding that out for sure?
Not sure which carrier it was locked to though.

Exactly the same problem ...

I have a 3g and 3gs both with network restricted. Unlocked several times with no joy. www.numberingplans.com for iemi checking although mine seem to be ok. They both come up green...

Any help please someone........

Firmware 4.2.1
bb 6.15.00

stolen

Just had my phone checked out, any mobile that has restricted network come up has been blacklisted in the uk and therefore can never be used as a phone in the uk again. There is no way to lift the restriction as it is done under uk goverment law.
