I work with two macs in a corporate environment and i want to share the files between them using a thunderbolt cable. However when i do this i also share files over the other networks (wired and wifi). Is there a way to only open file sharing via thunderbolt?
I have a macbook pro (late 2013, thunderbolt 2) and a imac 2016 (thunderbolt 2 via converter dongle).

Hmm, not sure if that can be done without digging deeper into the OS.
Having said that, just restrict the users who can access the folder, and that way it is still secure regardless of how it is shared.

I was thinking about extra software firewall to restrict file sharing on all ports but thunderbolt?
Might be stupid but a solution will really make life easier. I only need it to work one way as the iMac is position in "safe environment"
