We got my husband's new IP6+ and got it set up and we restored he iPhone backup to the phone (apps, etc.). When he was playing around with it, he saw that restrictions were on. It asked him for a passcode, but he can't remember it. We have tried the phone lock code, and other's, but we are now on 5 failed attempts.

I read on the Apple support forums that in order to erase the restriction lock, you have to do a factory reset on the phone. That is all well and good since we have backed up his iPhone, but if we do the factory reset, and then restore the backup, isn't that going to put the lock restriction back on since it is located in the iTunes back up files?

Am I missing something here?
