I would like to make restrictions like you can on an iphone where certain applications are restricted and only accessible by a pass code without having to create a new account, is it possible to do that on my mac?

Thank you but I did check google and 2nd you didn't tell me how and i did try parental controls but it won't let me unless i create a new account

Well...

You need at least one Administrator account on the Mac.

You can't have parental controls on an Administrator's account.

So, you need at least two accounts to make this happen, AFAIK.

You cannot add parental controls on an admin account, your best option is to leverage the power of OSX by creating a user account with parental controls enabled.

I did this for my kids. They have their account and I have mine.
