Quick and dirty:

- C2D 2.33 ghz version 2,2 MBP ... had wine spilled on it
- Apple repair center diagnosed it as dead (wifi fried, battery connectors not working properly)

It's been sitting at my work for a while collecting dust, I took it out and turned it on and to my surprise it booted up fine. Then..

- Turn it off and re-booting it a few times, it won't boot anymore.
- Wait a bit, then try again it will boot and make a P-RAM reset noise (dos beep) and then start. It makes the P-RAM reset noise almost every time it starts.
- Swapped the ram for tested working ram, and still same issue. Also tried a different hard drive.
- I took it apart and cleaned the crap out of it but its still having this issue.

Is it possible that it is the P-RAM battery that is causing the problem? It seems like it always boots up no problem after you leave it for a while which suggests its a battery issue. Once it's booted up it works perfectly. I installed SL on it with no problems.

Do you guys think it's the p-ram, pram battery or is the thing dead?

thanks!
