Resurrecting an old @me account

Hi,

Back in 2011 I had an iMac which I later sold in 2015 and switched back to windows.

I used to use an @me email address which I no longer remember the password to. When I used the iMac I had purchased Final Cut Pro which I'd bought through that account.

If I was to buy a MacBook Pro and get into my old account, would I still be able to download FCP or would it be no longer available as I purchased the copy 8 years ago?

I don’t know for sure, but I think you would be able to.

The @Mac and @me addresses were merged with the iCloud address when @me was discontinued.

I can’t remember if there was something I needed to do to roll my @Mac and @me accounts to iCloud, but I would start with trying to log into your Apple ID with your old login info.

I can log in using my @Mac, @me, or @icloud account names, and all three go to the same exact Apple ID account.
