Hi. I have the 15inch Retina Macbook Pro.

I'm interested in Daisy Chaining external monitors. I know this requires at least 1 Apple Thunderbolt montor.

I know if I get the apple Thunderbolt monitor I can Daisy chain that monitor to another thunderbolt monitor. But if I want to chain to a display port monitor like the Dell U2711. Is this possible to go direct? Or do I need some Thunderbolt device in between that has an output. I think I saw something where it couldn't go direct and you needed an in between device. But I forget what those details actually were.

Thanks for any advice!

I'm not sure if daisy chaining would have any differences than direct connecting (I don't see why there would be), but this is what I use to connect to my dell monitor.
