Does anyone know when the processors will be released from intel that are the potential ones for the retina iMac. I know its not a perfect indicator of update time but it gives me an idea.

My best guess currently is announcement/more info at Computex, which is first week of June, then likely product announcements from Apple in October, first products in the shop/Apple Store end of Q4.
If Intel of course doesn't screw up yields etc. However, they should have some experience with 14nm by now. It's a confusing time for OEMs, because between Haswell for desktop (still...) and Skylake there's also Broadwell, though it's awfully quiet for the desktop models.
I think there is a possibility they will do a Broadwell update. Waiting on Skylake could be risky and we already saw how they bumped the Macbook Pro 13 at the first opportunity. So we might see an iMac and Macbook Pro 15 refresh at WWDC in June. I'm in the market too but I've decided to wait till then.
