I've heard several dates: Monday; June 20; July... No one knows for sure of course. But in not wanting to spam Apple's phones, and knowing that many of you have heard things about when Apple shipments typically arrive, when's the best time to call or visit a store to see if they have any in stock?

Seriously, call whenever you want or as often as you need to. That's why they have phones.

I've heard from New York stores as well as local stores here in Texas that they can always receive shipments throughout any part of the day, but the most frequent time (basically their usual daily shipment) comes around 12 (this applies for all time zones) and the second most frequent time is an hour or so before they open. So basically, call an hour before they're open as their phones are operating an hour before and ask if they received a shipment yet. If not, call back around 11:40-12:45 and ask about their daily shipment and if they received any RMBP's. A lot of times they will say they're still unpacking their shipment, but if you go there in person you can ask a specialist to specifically go check if they received any that day (that way you basically get first dibs). I know this from 4 failed experiences trying to get one before ultimately getting one at Best Buy...it's pretty ridiculous this is what you have to do to get such a niche item in a $2200 laptop, but damn is it worth it!

I can tell you with confidence that Apple Stores do not get any sort of shipment notification before products arrive. They just come to their doorstep that day. So in regards to your question, anytime is a good time to call but don't ask "when will you get them in" their answer will either be "No idea" or something that's ******** haha.

Based on my iPad queuing experiences, the above comments are correct. It depends on when the store receive the delivery, and it's never always the same.

However, if you go first thing in the morning, you might be able to get left over stock from yesterday, if any.
