Hi

I am considering getting a 12 inch retina MacBook with 512GB HDD. One thing I have been unable to check online is the performance of booting and app loading times.

What is real life boot to start using?
I assume it has sleep for near instance boot? If so, how long on battery does sleep last for?
How long does it take to load iTunes , say for 10k songs and 500 movies/tv shows?
How to to load Photos app with, say, 30/50GB worth of photos?
How long to load mail/office/open office/pages type apps?
Will it cope with a bit of Xcode dev (very minor requirement)?

I current have an iMac 24inch, 2009 core 2 duo 2.6 with 8GB RAM and 640 GB HDD (spinning HDD, not ssd).
Will the rMB wipe the floor over the iMac?

If anyone can link to any YT vids of performance of the above, that'd be great.

Thanks.
