basically, this is my 3rd replacement macbook pro,

the first two had a broken enter key, and this new one seemed perfect at first, until yesterday its started to click when i open the lid, just wondering if this was a common fault? and if theres a fix? im just not sure if its worth getting another replacement as its a very quiet click, like a spring or something in the hinge?

im worried another replacement will be the same/worse.

thanks.

Some folks have had some luck eliminating clicks by tightening the housing screws. Others have not. My 15 will click when I rest my right palm while the rMBP is on an uneven surface.

so is it a common problem? is there a chance at me getting a "perfect" one?

I bought a refurb one and it's cosmetically perfect - no creeks, clicks, dodgy buttons or otherwise.

I've had 5 iPhones though and my last replacement has a dead pixel so I'm either getting really unlucky or they are poorly quality controlled.

If there's a creek in your rMBP I'd be more worried about water damage than anything else...

haha, damnit spelling.....

makes sense, they probably check the refurbs for such things :/ spoke to apple, the lady suggested getting it repaired as opposed to exchanged, as that way i can pick out the things i want fixed, so thinking ill do that now
