Greetings...

I've had numerous issues with my rMBP (Mid-2012), specifically related to the GPU. For example, the computer runs perfectly well 99% of the time EXCEPT when I restart the computer. Then, everything boots and loads properly except the screen remains blank.

I brought it into the Genius Bar about a month ago and they said they couldn't see what exactly the issue was, but they checked the internal connections then finally wiped the computer and re-installed Mavericks which solved the issue.

About two weeks ago, however, I was trying to get something out of Time Machine that I had accidentally deleted then later realized I still needed and the entire computer suddenly shut down and the screen issue I had before returned. This prompted me to make yet another Genius Bar appointment for this Thursday.

That lengthly exposition brings me to my question: how would you guys suggest for me to ask about at this appointment. Normally I can take care of my own, but now that this is the second visit in a month for the same issue, I thought I would get a little help.

I am inclined to believe there is an issue with the NVIDIA 650m GPU from what I have read on here, iFixit, and Apple Support Forums. Plus the fact that my computer is only showing the Intel GPU under "displays."

Sorry for the great length, but I would rather have this issue solved and not have to make a third trip to the Genius Bar. Thank you everyone for your help.
