Retina Macbook Pro Box

Hello, I am new to these forums and this is my first post.

I plan on buying a rMBP on friday and was wondering if anyone who still has their box could give me the exact size.

The reason I want the size is because I dont have a car, and want to fit it in my hiking bag.

I am at work so I don't have exact measurements, but it's not much bigger than the rMBP itself. Length and Width may be slightly bigger than the rMBP and depth is probably around 2".

Height: 0.74 in Width: 14.13 in Depth: 9.73 in

Those are the dimensions of the actual rMBP itself, estimate a bit to account for the size of the box and you should be fine.

Seriously??? If it doesn't fit your bag then get one from the store, I mean, what are you going to do if it's too big anyway?

I would like to keep an expensive item like the rMBP as discrete as possible, having to take it home by public transportation. If I have a bag that can fit its box, that's what I'll bring with me.

you could skip the rMBP and with the same money finally buy yourself a used car

it costs as much as a good well used car
get a matching color

enjoy the new retina macbook toy.

however if you are 'broke' now
grab a fresh glad garbage bag from under the filled one in the trash bins in the washrooms, they keep fresh ones under the filled ones

everyone will stay away from you
no one will want to mug you and pawn the retina macbook toy to get a great used car and
road trip party time all year long

Well, if it is really to conceal and discourage others, I would take 'stinky old gym bag half-full of clothes' along with me instead of a Backpack, and put my shiny new rMBP (well wrapped in plastic) in the middle of it all..

And maybe leave the zipper open enough to show some Grey Sweatpants and Socks hangin' out.. I would leave you alone then, I think..
