Somehow my macbook pro retina display "menu" icon disappeared and I don't see any way to get it back. This is handy for changing scaling quickly without having to go into settings. Any ideas how to get this back? Just vanished.

AFAIK it's gone, I was playing around with one in the store and was surprised that I couldn't get the option in system preferences. I think there's some third party solutions but I don't have a retina, someone should be able to help you out shortly.

So I rebooted a couple of times, it didn't come back. I closed my lid, traveled home, opened it back up and magically it re-appeared. Very strange. We don't have to start a poll about who has the icon on the menu that allows you to quickly access the scaling/resolution option do we?
