So I bought the top end model 15inch macbook pro retina, which was just released a few days ago. At first I have had no problem with it, but in the last 2 days I have been getting crashes, where the screen would suddenly freeze and a green pattern can be found on some parts of the screen. Have to shut down and restart. I reinstalled the OS, to see if it's a problematic software that caused the problem, but it still exists. I will probably take it to the apple store, but what do you think the problem is?

Sounds like a bad computer. Take some pics when that green pattern appears.

You should take it to the Apple Store, I have a mid 2012 Retina and what you are experiencing is not normal. They will most likely replace yours.

Thanks
