Late 2013 15'' seems to have the same issues with the first and second gen of Retina Macbook Pro:s, iTunes choppiness. When I compared the demo units with non-retina Macbook Pro or the iMac there is no choppiness. Does this happen with the 750m model aswell or is it the base model only? Atleast on my Windows desktop the iTunes runs smoother than on the Retina Macbook Pro.

Choppy here as well with 1st gen rMBP, if it's any consolation.

Ok thx for the answer. Anyone with Late 2013 15'' Nvidia 750m version has this issue or is it just with basic Late 2013 15'' version?

From what I've read iTunes is not yet GPU accelerated so that could be a major contribution to the choppiness.

I've got the late 2013 MacBook Pro retina, 2.3ghz, 16gb of ram, 512gb hd with 750. And just imported 24gb of music from my external hd has no lag whatsoever

I have the 15" retina with 750m and iTunes is choppy only when scrolling in the iTunes Store. Especially when viewing an album and reading reviews. Is that what you meant by choppy?

I think they should remake Itunes from the ground up. They have been pilling stuff on top of it for so many years. Movies, podcast, music.. It's so overbloated and resource consuming. It could be so neat and tightly condensed instead.

When viewing album, the animation is not smooth compared to non-retina models. Also I think scrolling is little choppy too.

What animation are you mentioning?

When pressing album there is a small animation, which is super laggy compared to non retina screens and my Windows 8.1 Desktops iTunes doing the same thing.
