Retina Macbook Pro with external monitor

Will be buying a retina macbook pro with retina and a thunderbolt display and am curious if the lag of ui and scrolling in persistent even on external monitors?

Increasing the work the graphics card has to do is unlikely to increase performance.

If you are finding issues with lag adding another monitor probably won't help...

Even with both monitors running there isn't any visible lag on the external monitor. However expect the same amount of lag on the MacBook pro retina screen.
