Noticed yesterday at the store that the lcd display of these machines do not show the black frame around the inside of the black screen bezel. It appears they covered all sides of the lcd with the black screen bezel, making it appear even more so that pop effect of your content jumping out at you, there is no end to the image. Sorry I didn't express this well at all.

Someone please inform me about the lcd display and if this is what they did with the bezel to make it look like your content seems to be on top of the screen?

The MacBook Pro’s Retina Display does away with the cover glass and instead uses a fairly unique LCD assembly. There are still two pieces of glass but the outermost glass is actually a different size and shape - it integrates a bezel. By integrating the bezel into the outermost glass in the LCD stack you get the same effect as a cover glass but without the added reflections it introduces.
