First time posting :)

I received my new Retina MBP a little over a week ago and it's been running perfectly fine until I woke up and switched it on yesterday morning and found a vertical line of what seems like dead pixels running straight down the middle of my screen...

Now I'm guessing this means my display is just faulty and I've booked an appointment at a Genius Bar but before I go I'm wondering if there's a fix for it I can do myself?

This is what it looks like...

As you can see it changes colour depending on the background colour too

Yeah that doesn't look too good, i sometimes get lines but only in safari over certain content.

Just messed around with resolutions and the lines stay in exactly the same place. Restarting won't get rid of it and they don't appear on my external display either so I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a new one :(

Just curious, which screen manufacturer is it, LG or Samsung?

Have you tried a SMC and PRAM reset. If that doesn't do it, then its likely a bad display.
