Hi. Sometimes I get what looks like a graphics problem on my Retina MacBook Pro. See specs and short video below. Those kind of lines appear in different points of the screen for some time, and then they disappear.
Do you think my MBP needs service? I have installed a third party SSD on it. Should I just put the original one back before taking it to an Apple Store for support?

Yes, take it in for repair.

Since it's a 13" it isn't due to the widespread graphics problems dubbed "Radeon-gate" and so isn't covered by the extended repair programme.

Do you have AppleCare?

I don't. I'm afraid this is an out of warranty repair. It's really a shame; do you know roughly how much could a repair of this type cost?

Just to rule out a software issue, have you tried taking screenshots when it happens? If it shows up on your screenshots, then it is a software issue. If not, it's hardware.
