Retina MBP screen matching with Dell u2713HM

Hello

Ive coupled my 2013 retina macbook pro with a dell U2711HM but I'm desperately trying to get colours and brightness to match between the two and yet to have no success. I particularly notice it when dragging a PDF document from screen to another.

Ive tinkered with on monitor settings, colour profiles etc.

Wondering if anyone has any advice or know of any tools to get the screens to match better?

You need a hardware calibration device. But keep in mind they still may never match exactly.
