I got my MBP last night and today I noticed a small little imperfection about half an inch to the left of the trackpad (very close to the edge of the laptop, about 1/4 inch). It looks similar to the light sensor on my MBA but I'm not sure and I don't feel like driving to the Apple Store to see if their MBP have it too :p

Does any with a retina MBP can see it?

Just go in now and tell them about the defect.
Yes but the problem is that stocks are very low right now. I managed to get this one at BestBuy (local Apple Store has no stocks at all). Right now I managed to find a different BestBuy with a unit so I ordered it online for in store pick up and I'll try to get them to exchange the unit.

I agree. The longer you wait the less likely they are to believe that it wasn't damage caused by you. Better to play it safe.

Yea, I'm going tomorrow right after work

Picked a new one at a local FutureShop! Transferring the data form the "old" rMBP to the new one. I will return it to BestBuy this weekend.

Sounds like you got it worked out, but I agree with the others. The longer you wait to take it in, the more likely they'll think you caused the damage.

It looks fairly obvious that I didn't do it... It's so perfect looking lol
