Firstly, congrats on purchasing this awesome machine!

I am currently using 2009 15 inch MBP and contemplating upgrading,

could you tell me anything about the heat (my lap burns while using it during summer), portability (well, mine was not the best thing to carry around), and fan noise?

It's the warmest on the back quarter of the bottom and gets warmer a you get to the edge. Fan noise is noticeable, but not as load a my MacBook Air.

I've only had the machine for two days, so it's hard to give a final opinion on how hot it gets. I did notice when I had it plugged in it was warmer than on battery.

I still need to run some flash stuff on it, that seems to be the acid test for my Mac laptops!

Glossy but they claim reduced glare by 75%
