Retina this year?

are we likely to see the air go retina this year?

currently using a 2012 air, i know the 2013 has superb battery but im hoping on retina before i upgrade, or do u think they will keep it to the Pro range

I think they will keep that to the Pro because there would be nothing that distinguishes them when the air goes retina. Battery life could hardly be held on the same level, I imagine.

I think they will release Retina this year. I am also hoping Apple drops the 13" MBA and make a single 12" class MBA to further consolidate the MacBook line. MacBook Pros will have quad core chips, more memory and higher SSD capacity in the base configs plus 1 more TB port and HDMI as incentive to get people to get the Pro.
