Hey Guys,

As a complete random event i'm posting about that new Retina MacBook Pro, I don't know if you guys have heard of it?

But at my work, where we're selling Retina MacBook Pro's, Myself and a few others have started calling it something else.... Something Revolutionary... or shall we say RESOLUTIONary.

The RetinaBook.

Sounds a lot easier, and rolls off the tongue compared to 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display...

Just wanted to hear what you all had to say, if you like the name, and what you call it? Shorten the name a bit, make it sound hip and cool....

And don't you guys dare try to steal this name. It's SO getting Patented.

In a year when all MacBooks (at least MBPs) have Retina displays there will be no need for the confusing "Macbook Pro with Retina Display" title.

I call it the fake MBP!!! Only real MBP users have optical drives! :p

Seems like "RMBP" has become pretty standard short hand around here in the last couple of days. I like Retina MBP personally :)

The more confusing thing is what do we call the updated 13" and 15" Macbook Pro which still have the old form factor. I've seen 'legacy MBP' tossed around but I prefer 'classic MBP', just like with the iPod classic :D

Yep, RMBP is pretty much standard (I like it!)
However... the classic is a bit hard to figure out now....
Lets see..
CMBP
LMBP
OMBP (old macbook pro)
MBPNR (macbook pro non retina)
2012NRMBP

TMBPTIDFPUWAUTOBAEAWAF,ADHARDATTBAIT (the macbook pro that is designed for pro users who actually use the optical bay and ethernet as well as firewire, and does not have a retina display attached to the body and is thicker)

think the last one is a keeper for sure :D

The old one is just the mid 2012 unibody macbook pro.

I like Retinabook.

I think everyone who uses their computer to earn a living is a pro, and not every pro uses those things... but I disgress

Gonna call mine Macbook Pro TYPE R!
