Out of curiosity I wondered if the Retina MBP could power two 30" Apple Cinema Displays. Turns out it is no problem! Each connects to one of the Thunderbolt ports using the Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapters. Not only can it drive the two 30"s at their native 2560*1600, but it also runs the Mac Book Pro at 1920*1200 no problem!
This is a awesome computer, the best I have ever had. Because I travel a lot, I may even consider ditching my aging MacPro tower all together and only using this. It is all running very smoothly.
