retreiving wireless password

I have a pressing question. I have forgotten my wireless password and I have gone to the wirless edit on my mac but when I click show password the charcaters disappear.

HELP! I need to password to do my school work.

go the the Keychain Access.app in Applications > Utlities. You can view any saved passwords in there. But you will need your main computer password to view them.
