Is there a way to retrieve a password for facebook that was not stored in the keychain on macbook?

thanks

Common sense would probably be to reset the password on the Facebook account; and it's quite logical: If said password is not on said Mac, said password can be reset using said service!

Do you have it saved in your browser? If so, look around online for how to get it back out, it won't be hard.

Otherwise, do as Pjoseph suggested. The password reset is there for just this situation. Consider using a password storage application like KeePassX (free) or 1Password (paid, but better).

In Facebook.com click on "Forgotten Your Password?" on the login page.. That gives you a list of ways you can retrieve your password. Hope this helps. :)

yeah but to change p/w on Facebook don't you need original p/w?

What's the point of requiring the original password in the "forgot your password" reset link? I would love to hear that explanation. If you just want to change your password, you're correct. However, FB has other ways of authenticating your identity and allowing you to reset your password.
