Retrieving files from time machine

i have backed up my Mac mini with a time machine a month ago and just the other day I deleted 2 big folders that I need by accident.

I was wondering if it is possible to use the time machine backup to retrieve JUST those two files that were on the desktop main screen without retrieving the whole backup and therefore making my current Mac operate exactly like it was a month ago.

Could someone please help me with this...

It’s not only possible, it’s what Time Machine was built for. See Apple’s instructions. It’s pretty easy. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209152
