Retrieving photos after setting to new iPhone

How do I retrieve my photos after I set my iPhone to new. I am trying to set it as new and bring back most of the data. The iCloud will bring back my contacts and things like that and my photo stream but I don't have many pictures in my photo stream. I have over 1000 in my camera roll and can't figure out how to move those.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's no different from importing photos from a camera to a computer. Load your favorite image organizer while the phone is connected and import.

You can sync the photos back to your iPhone in iTunes after you set it up as new, but they won't (and don't need to) be in camera roll. You can create albums for those.
