Retrieving photos of "Disabled" iPhone

Im in need of despirate help. My iPhone is password protected. I orginally thought I was having a mental block when trying to get in it one night and incorrectly enterting my password, but im 100% sure I was entering it correctly as about 10 minutes before it had accepted my password fine. Now its saying its incorrect! The password is the same as my debit card pin so I am DEFFINTLY sure I was entering it correct. Has any iPhone ever had a problem with "forgetting its own passcode"? However this doesnt bother me as I can do the restore right? No. My very close friend died a recenty =[ There were pictures of me and him on there, my only ones and im so despirate, and upset.

Is there anyway at all I can get them off? iTunes & my computer will not reconnise the device because it is "disabled", not "locked". Im so upset about the prospect of losing my pictures and memory for good. Please Please help!!

You will probably have to restore the iPhone, jailbreak it, and then try this guide:

Good luck to you. I know how it feels to lose something like that. If you really want, DriveSavers offers iPhone data recovery, but the price is probably outrageous.

EDIT: Hopefully you haven't installed 3.0 yet, as I'm not sure about the status of that OS being jailbroken.

Did you ever sync the phone so the photos are on your computer? If so getting into the phone may not be necessary. Good luck with whatever you do. Sorry for your loss.

Use iPhone Backup Extractor (http://supercrazyawesome.com/) to extract the "iPhone OS Files" directory from your most recent iTunes backup. From there you can browse to Media>DCIM, where you should find several folders containing your photos.

Thank you Ryan i will try that in the morning. I've posted up on the applesupport forums but nothing they've suggested so far as worked.

nuts, No i dont think so. It seems strange i only put a new albuim on the iPhone a week ago and it didnt do a automatic update. iTunes is telling me it wasnt updated untill a month prevous. If it would of updated when the albuim went on i could of just hit restore and got them from the backup. This is really depressing me now =[

Hi. i have the same issue.
permanently disabled iPhone 4. it is my wife`s phone who passed away.
i need to get photos and videos from the phone. The original computer which i synced it with doesn't help. i have 2 computer and don't remember which one was that i synced it with,on one of them i had hard drive which crashed so i installed new one, so basicly when i am connecting to itunes on both computer it says "enter your passcode before connecting to itunes" but on the phone there is no keypad to enter passcode, it says only "iphone is disabled connect to intunes"

So far nothing works.

1. I tried iFaith to dump SHSH blobs, but later found out that building IPSW is only for restoring, that it will not retrieve my data.

2. I tried iPhone Browser but it doesn't see my device

3. i did not try this yet, not sure how to do this

I am having the same issue. I put a lock code onto my iPhone 4, and couldnt remember the code at the time. Trying random codes i then was locked out then it disabled it & it told me to connect with iTunes. I have not backed it up in some time and have lottts of pictures on the phone, many of my grandmother who is no longer doing too good. I am so scared to lose those pictures. Is there a way to get around this? I really am terrified of losing all my pictures. Are they in the iCloud? What will jail breaking do? Or is there some where i can bring it to for them to fix this?
