Thanks for the replies guys but I am still wondering....
I bought my iPhone 16gb on launch day. Used my Verizon Upgrade. Paid $199
I went to my local Apple store today told the girl, "I want to exchange this iPhone I got on launch day for a 32GB, this one is not enough storage for me"
And they said that its 14 days exchange policy, even though I'm a few days past the 14 they would do it for me. The Apple Manager told me, "Before we do the exchange you need to call Verizon and tell them/ask them to mark on your account so you can still get the "upgrade" price or else you will pay the full price? I said "I though it was 30 days" they said "no its 14"
BUT I called Verizon and Verizon told me no I only have 14 days to exchange. But Before I went to the store today I looked at apples return policy and it says 30 days??
" A wireless service plan with either AT&T or Verizon Wireless is required to activate all iPhone features, including iPod features.
The iPhone model you purchase is configured to work only with the network technology of either AT&T or Verizon Wireless, as specified, but not both.
The Apple Online and Retail Stores sell iPhone for end-user customers only. iPhone may not be purchased for resale.
iPhone may not be purchased for export outside of the United States, either directly or indirectly.
Making unauthorized modifications to the software on an iPhone violates the iPhone software license agreement, and the inability to use iPhone due to unauthorized software modifications is not covered under warranty.
iPhone Return Policy:
If you are not fully satisfied with your iPhone purchase, you can return your undamaged iPhone within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. The iPhone must be returned with your original receipt in its original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, and documentation.
Wireless Service Cancellation:
Additional notification to your carrier may be necessary to terminate or reset your wireless account. Please check with your Specialist when returning your iPhone. You will be responsible for all applicable usage fees, prorated access charges, taxes, surcharges, or other charges through the termination date. Please contact your wireless service provider for more information about applicable fees.
I am so confused. Is it different if I have a contract, than buying phone outright?
Why does Apple say 30 day's on receipt? Please help!
I looked at Verizons Policy it says....
"Wireless Device/Accessory Return Policy
You may return or exchange wireless devices and accessories purchased from Verizon Wireless within 14 days of purchase. A restocking fee of $35 ($70 for netbooks and tablets) applies to any return or exchange of a wireless device (excluding Hawaii)."
SO is Apple trying to push it on Verizon? Or are they correct?
The chick at apple told me "If we exchange it Verizon won't pay us the difference"
Do I have a Legal right to exchange, it says on Apples receipt 30 days. Nothing about 14 daysnothing about contracts etc. And I bought my iPhone at Apple.
