Return Back to School Beats Headphones

Hi Guys,

Just used the back to school offer to get the MBP. Apple have invoiced them separately and have invoiced the Beats at full price and discounted the MBP. My question is if I return the unopened beats to Apple will they refund the full amount? Anybody have any experience with this or will I have to sell them on eBay?

Apple won’t, not at least in my experience, but each store uses their own discretion.

eBay, Nextdoor or another selling app would probably be better, but don’t expect to get retail.

I looked into eBay but they seem to be selling brand new for less than half the cheapest retail price. Oh Well! Something is better than nothing. Will still ask for a refund when I pop into the apple store though.

Wont get a refund. This isn't their first rodeo. Keep or sell on eBay, offerup, etc. They are great headphones.

Under normal circumstances I would keep them but have some how managed to amass a collection of various high end headphones!!!!

Which color did you buy? Because I'm in the same situation and decided to go with one of the new Pop Collection colors which are only out for like 1-2 months, and they seem to go for significantly better prices right now than all the other colors which are available since 2 years. (The few eBay offers in my country for the Pop ones are all around 230-250€, the old colors are mostly in the 150-200€ range.) So you might be getting better value with one of the Pop colors if you decide to sell them (though it probably doesn't help you now if you already bought another color).

Oh well. Still contemplating if I really should sell mine. On one hand, I already have the Beats Studio3, AirPods and BeatsX, so I don't really need another pair and could just get a part of the money back in. On the other hand, I don't have some Solo3 yet, the colors do look tempting and having a spare cannot hurt...

I went for the matte black. Probably the wrong colour in hindsight. Haven't collected them so they may allow me to change them when I go in to the store.

You could probably get them exchange for a new color at the Apple Store.
