Anyone have any luck with returning a defective iPhone 5 to Genius Bar for a different model?
 
Can't do that if they have none in stock. Thought going through the Genius Bar may work since they do have replacement phones in stock.

Nope. I tried doing this because I wanted to switch my 16gb (with a defect under the screen) with a 32gb. They will only replace it with the exact same model. They told me I would have to wait until they had 32's in stock to return and repurchase.
