Hello,

Would it be a mistake to return my imac i7 27" for a MBP 17"?
I was thinking of getting a PC desktop for gaming as the games I play on the imac refuse to go full screen. (Metal of Honor breakthrough)

Would I notice much difference in performance?

Thanks

You read my post wrong.
I said I was thinking of getting a PC for gaming and a MBP for everything else.
I do nto have enough room for two desktops.

Thanks

sounds good, 1 pc and 1 laptop.

exactly my setup.

preformance wise idk what your comparing it to...obviously the MBP will have less power then the imac but for a laptop the MBP will suffice.

You could also dual boot the iMac into windows to get better game performance...video drivers for windows are often times better suited to gaming IMHO but I think you're right. Get a mbp and a pc suited for gaming.

Yes, I did misread the PC part.

Are you sure you need an MBP 17? I have one and love it, but I'm most likely getting a new MBA for when I travel. Those machines are really nice.
